A Sunday Kind of Love #15

15 January 2017

the remainder of the weekend / leeds 15.01.17

Happy Sunday! I've just got back from a fleeting weekend trip to London. It was really nice to see everyone again, and to go to a pie party (which is quite possibly the best theme for a social occasion that's ever been). Herne Hill is my new favourite area of the capital, and I think I'd like to move there, be a yummy mummy (minus the children), eat brunch, and go to the farmer's market every Sunday... Seriously.

writing//
This week I've written about embracing lagom - a word which very roughly translates as 'not too much, not too little' - and my trip to Edinburgh last year!

thinking about//
On the train back today I read an article about wearable technology increasing the productivity of workers... Monitoring body language, tone of voice, and even the sleeping habits of employees is apparently the new way certain companies are now ensuring contentment in the workplace. I read this, and immediately felt panicked - how is this the world we live in? Constant surveillance grooming us into robo-humans, consumed by work. No thanks. Thoughts?

Katie tells us how to be more productive / the Pomodoro technique has definitely been working for me today!
Liv in Australia / seriously making me want to jet down under again! Loving her aesthetic and photographs as per usual.
Hannah wonders if you need to be good at photography to be a great blogger / something I've been thinking about a lot lately!
Fresh air is good for the soul / Rhianna hits the nail on the head with this one!
I love interviews with inspiring women, which is why i'm enjoying Stephie's series lots

Binge listening to Lena Dunham's Women of the Hour podcast
Laura Marling's new music
Easy breezy lovely folk.

What have you been up to this week?

  1. Wearable technology to monitor workers!? The more I'm in adulthood the more I just wanna disappear, travel the globe and be a hippy! I just came across your blog and I love your vibe! This week I've been: trying to keep as warm as possible, thinking about: comfort food, and reading a little novel called Morvern Callar!! :)
